The Gladstone Region is about 500km north from Brisbane and offers visitors close access to the pristine Southern Great Barrier Reef.
The Gladstone Region is diverse, with some of Australia’s largest heavy industry, manufacturing plants and new energy related technologies. It also boasts an adventurous outdoor lifestyle because of its nearby water ways, beaches and national parks. The Region includes the beachside towns of Boyne Island/Tannum Sands, Agnes Water/1770 and the rural towns in the Boyne Valley, Calliope and Mt Larcom, with the larger city of Gladstone being Queensland’s major deep water port.
The Zonta Club of Gladstone is in District 22, Area 2, and was formed in 1991 with the official charter date in January, 1992.
The Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at “The Club Hotel Gladstone” function room, at 1 Tank Street, Gladstone Central QLD 4680. We arrive at 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start, with dinner served at 7pm. If you would like to attend a dinner meeting, please send an e-mail with your contact details.
We also welcome members who are visiting from other Zonta Clubs.
You are invited to keep in touch via the Zonta Club Gladstone facebook page.
